25 | At 1:30PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Madi Fremont and AmyLe Tran met with the home above over Microsoft Teams for the purpose of conducting a Case Management Inspection. LPAs met with Administrator/Licensee Reggieanne Villar-Battung, who helped facilitate this inspection. Also in attendance were Assistant Administrator Irma Battung, Morning Star Behavioral Consultant Leatrice Tomlinson, and California Department of Public Health Nurse Barbie Henson. Currently in care are 5 ambulatory clients.
(See LIC811 - Confidential Names dated 11/12/2020)
The specific purpose of this Case Management inspection was for the facility to receive guidance from Ms. Henson on creating visitation plans for their clients that are within safety guidelines for COVID-19. LPA Fremont inquired about the status of the visitation plan for C1 and C2, which was requested on 10/04/2020, with a deadline for submittal today, 11/12/2020 at 5PM. LPA Fremont invited the licensee to voice any concerns they may have about the plan to Ms. Henson, or ask any questions they may have regarding visitation.
In consultation with Ms. Henson, the home has been advised to add to their visitation guidelines extra safety measures, including but not limited to limited physical touch (hug hello and hug goodbye), and using distractive techniques to keep C1 and C2 from pulling on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Parents will also be required to adhere to a time limit on visitation, to obtain a negative COVID-19 test within a specified timeframe (to be determined), and to wear full PPE (provided by the home) that is donned at the home, and doffed out of the home. This plan will be submitted no later than 5PM on Monday, 11/16/2020. LPA Fremont will present this visitation plan to Contra Costa County Department of Public Health to get approval before implementing the plan and presenting it to the parents.
At this time, no deficiencies are being cited. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was emailed to Administrator Reggieanne Villar-Battung due to COVID-19 precautions. |
