|A follow up inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Chavez for the purpose of delivering a findings report for an investigation that was conducted by LPA Y. Yang. It was alleged that facility staff hit child in care resulting in bruising and that facility staff handled child in a rough manner. During the initial inspection visit on 08/16/18, the director, Jackie Makakoa denied the allegations and stated that she has never observed any staff members roughly handle a child or hit a child. The director stated that on the day of the alleged incident, child C1 bumped into another child and staff members who were present on the play yard attempted to aid and comfort C1. It was corroborated that staff were observed to be appropriately supervising and interacting with children in care during the alleged incident. During the inspection to the facility, LPA observed appropriate child/staff interactions with all staff. During the investigation interviews were conducted. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred and the findings are unsubstantiated. This report was discussed and reviewed with the Director. Appeal Rights were provided and discussed. The Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for 30 days from today's visit.|
There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today's inspection.
