|Licensing Program Analyst, V. Wheatley conducted a random inspection and met with the licensee. LPA observed 11 children. The licensee's daughter is also present. The licensee is also a foster parent. The children are allowed in the front room (day care room) and two bedrooms for napping. The older children are allowed in the den. The other two bedrooms are off limits and are inaccessible. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable and well ventilated. |
LPA observed a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher and working telephone. The home has a wall heater in the day care room which is screened. There are several age appropriate toys, books, and equipment on the premises. The electrical outlets are inaccessible. There is a first aid kit and cots for napping. The licensee, daughter and husband all have current CPR and first aid that expires May 2019. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises.
LPA inspected the front yard. There is a grassy area but no fence. There are no pets on the premises. The licensee may utilize the driveway for play as long as there are no cars in the driveway. Licensee was informed that children are to be supervised inside and outside of the home. According to the licensee, the children do not play in the backyard. There is one dog (yorkie) and one cat on the premises. The pets are inaccessible.
LPA explained Incidental Medical Services. According to the licensee, there are no children enrolled that are receiving these services. Licensee understands a written plan must be submitted to the department should children receive these services.
