|Outdoor Play Area: Preschool playground is located in rear of school. Outdoor playground is equipped with fencing (at least 4 ft. high) around the perimeter for safety. Age appropriate play slide is anchored and secure for safety. Playground has adequate shade (shade sails), free from miscellaneous debris and hazards. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Drinking water is available outside for children. Outside of classroom is a breezeway for shaded outdoor activities, snack , and arts/crafts.|
Napping Equipment: Mats are available for children in care. Classroom will be used for napping. Mats are stored in storage closet inside classroom.
Staff/Children Files: No Staff files were observed. LPA discussed what sections are needed for personnel, qualifications and evaluations. Children files were observed with sections for admissions agreement, immunizations, medication consent, and authorizations.
Medication: All medication will located in the Directors office.
First Aid: Preschool has First Aid kits throughout main classroom.
Postings: All postings will be posted in the front of the classroom and visible for parents. LPA observed required postings (Facility License (TBD), Emergency Disaster Plan, Parents Rights Poster, Personal Rights Form)
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
