Licensing Program Analysts (LPA"s) Cynthia Reyes and Steven Rodriguez conducted a case management inspection on this date. LPA's met with director Amanda Sanchez who guided LPA's on a tour of the facility. LPA's were able to observe and collect the census of staff which included 7 Preschool teachers and 53 children present at the facility on this date.

During the inspection of the 2 year classroom at 11:21am, LPA's S.Rodriguez and Cynthia Reyes observed carpet stains. Director Amanda Sanchez stated carpets were just cleaned but will also submit an order to have them cleaned again. Floor markers were also not present in the classroom. Director stated they keep getting peeled off but will re-apply new ones. Children were also observed not wearing mask.

During inspection of the preschool play yard, LPA's Steven Rodriguez and Cynthia Reyes observed a non-working drinking fountain. Director Sanchez informed LPA's that pitchers of water with water cups are provided to the children. However, LPA's did not observe any pitchers of water or water cups at this time.

LPA's continued there tour into the 3 year old classroom at 11:30am where it was observed that social distancing guidelines were not being followed. Mask were continued to not be worn and the 6 feet markers were not observed. Guidance was provided to teachers Jennifer Paiz and Kim Zizcarra about mask wearing and social distancing.

During the inspection of the pre-k room, LPA's observed 5-6 children sitting at small tables not allowing for proper social distancing. Director Sanchez informed LPA's that few tables are available and therefore it is difficult to space the children out but that she will look into adding more tables. Mask were also not being worn by the children.

Within the Pre-K classroom, their was an additional room that contained 5 children and 1 staff member. LPA's informed the director that this room could not accommodate this number of children without violating social distancing guidelines. The carpet also contained multiple stains and the ventilation ducts were not cleaned. LPA's informed the director about the carpet and air vent issue.

During this inspection LPA discussed PIN 20-06 CCP, Social And Physical Distancing Guidance And Healthy Practices For Child Care Facilities In Response To The Global Corona virus (COVID-19) Pandemic Written In Collaboration With The California Department Of Education and reviewed Child Care Covid-19 Self Assessment. During the walk though LPA advised the director and staff that children above age 2 should be wearing face mask and or trained to wear them. LPA also advised the director and staff of the social distancing markers needed on the ground in all areas of the facility and the tables and chairs separated to have at least only two children at a table at a time. LPA requested photos and documentation of how they will ensure the facility is following all the precautionary measures per PIN 20-06, the state governors guidelines and Los Angeles county department of public health.
