|Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Judy Mora met with Gabriel Ross (owner) for Play Preschool who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a third pre-licensing inspection. The purpose of this visit is to ensure that all physical plant corrections have been completed and that the facility is ready to be licensed. |
Applicant also has a family child care license, Ross Family Child Care LIC#198019323, which is located directly next door to the child care facility. Applicant was previously advised that he could not be the Director of the preschool and the owner of the family child care at the same time. Applicant stated he will surrender his family child care license once the infant center is licensed.
During this inspection, LPA observed that since the initial pre-licensing inspection changes had been made to the facility. Required documentation that had not been submitted to the Department prior to this visit has been submitted with the exception of the LIC 404, Financial Information and Release Verification, which has not been received by the financial institution.
LPA observed that the applicant still has 10 pack and plays in the infant napping area and 04 emergency evacuation cribs. Applicant was advised that pack and plays cannot be used for infant napping and was previously told by the LPM to remove the items. Applicant was advised that the LPM would be notified of the pack and plays still being in the infant napping room.
LPA observed during this visit that the infant playground now has shade and the playground surface was completed. The playground now has artificial turf that is cushioned.
LPA observed that there a changing table was installed within an arm's reach of a sink right next to the infant's cubbies.
