On 06/12/2020 at 11:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jose Calderon and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Janae Hammond conducted a Technical Assistance (TA) via Zoom to follow-up on the facility due to the situation surrounding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and to implement mitigation measures, today TA follow-up visit was conducted over the computer via Zoom with Patria Duffrenne the facility administrator and the purpose of the visit was explained.

The visit consisted of the following: LPA and LPM were given a tour via Zoom of the physical plant with the Administrator, LPA and LPM observed all of the front windows of the building located at 2300 S. Pacific Ave San Pedro had been replaced, but finish work was still in process. Also the back door to the patio had been replaced and it was noted by the LPA that there were 3 benches and a basket ball hoop in the yard. Administrator showed back windows and confirmed that the kitchen window was still in the process of being finished. Also the administrator confirmed that it would take 10 more days to obtain and finish all the windows for the facility.

LPA and LPM observed that the first floor common bathroom had not been finished and that a hallway ceiling had 2 large holes where pipes were exposed due to a water leak. Administrator said that she has been working the city of Los Angeles to obtain the proper permits, but due to COVID-19 there has been delays, but she said to have email from the city allowing her to move forward with repairs.

On the second floor rooms #34, #36, #38 were not being uses by residents and all the bathrooms were still under construction. The Intercom had been installed and was used by the administrator who talked to another staff member in the office. Administrator walked to the office and showed a working phone/intercom. Administrator said her bank refinance with Citizen Bank has been held up due to COVID-19 but hopes to obtain more money for the needed repairs
