|(2) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Catherine Chambers conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection. LPA met with Director, Lynn Cederblom. A tour of facility was conducted inside and outside. Staff and children were spoken to during the visit. The following areas are observed and in compliance during this visit: There are no bodies of water. Firearms/weapons and poisons are not allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, hazardous items and medications are inaccessible to children. There are no poisons stored on the premises. Furniture and equipment are sufficient, age appropriate, and in good repair. The playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition with adequate cushioning material underneath and around climbing structures and slides. Children's toilets and hand washing facilities are safe and sanitary. Rooms are safe and clean. Food preparation area is clean, food and beverages are stored in covered containers at 45 degrees F (or less if required), and storage containers for solid waste are covered with tight fitting lids. Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors. Measures are taken to keep the facility free of insects and rodents. Staff who are subject to a criminal record clearance or exemption are associated to the facility. Teacher/child ratios are maintained and adequate supervision is being provided during this visit. No excluded individuals are present. First Aid/CPR was observed to be in compliance. Sign in/sign out sheets are maintained per regulation. Emergency information forms reviewed for some children. Staff records contain documentation of education, training, and/or experience. Menus are posted. LPA & licensee discussed the Community Care Licensing website: www.ccld.ca.gov. where the new Mandated Reporter Training can be accessed. All personnel must complete training by March 31, 2018.|
Per Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiencies are observed today.
