25 | On September 14, 2022 at approximately 11:20 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Josiah Gathing and Mandie Goodwin met with licensee Anna Smyshkova for the purpose of a required annual inspection. The facility days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During today’s inspection, there were four day care children present. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
A health and safety evaluation was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas of the home include: Second floor, Mother’s area, Own Children’s rooms, and Backyard. LPAs observed a full 2A10BC fire extinguisher, and functioning carbon monoxide detector. A functioning smoke detector was not observed during today’s inspection. LPAs observed first aid kit. Per licensee, there are no weapons in the home. There is no fireplace in on-limits areas. Required postings were observed.
During file review, LPA observed all necessary Children’s documents. LPA observed a current children’s roster and fire drill log last updated September, 2022. LPAs observed Preventative Health and Safety certificate and First Aid/CPR certificates valid through September 2022.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual – Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
