| Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, made an unannounced visit for the purpose of a random annual inspection. During this visit, there were 21 children with two teachers on the playground. Facility is within ratio and capacity. Program operates Monday thru Friday from 8 to 5:30 p.m. |
LPA toured the facility. The furniture games, books, toys, and play equipment, both inside and out, are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. All rooms have adequate heating, lighting and ventilation, are clean and orderly, and are free of hazards. All storage containers and trashes have tight fitting covers are in good repair. The facility provides a.m. and p.m. snack and the children bring their own lunches. Food service area consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards, with food stored per regulation and the snack menu is posted. All hazardous items are stored where they are inaccessible to children. The outdoor play area is fenced, has sufficient cushioning and adequate shade. The carbon monoxide detector is operational. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. There are no bodies of water, firearms or ammunition on the property. There is at least one staff present with a current CPR and First Aid certification. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed. LPA reviewed personnel records and a sample of children's records. LPA discussed SB 792 (staff immunizations). Requirements have been met. All staff has completed the Mandated Reporter Training with the Department of Education. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. Services are in place today. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. No deficiencies are cited. An updated LIC 500 and 610 was provided during this visit. There have been no changes to the Parent Handbook since last year.
