As discussed in office meeting dated, 11/14/2016, the capacity of the preschool license will be decreased to 64 children ages 2 through kindergarten. Rooms 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8 will be used for preschool and have a combined square footage of approximately 2272.7 square feet, or enough space for 64 children. A fire clearance was granted for 64 children on 11/22/2016. There are 10 sinks and 11 toilets available in the preschool rooms. Outdoor playground area was measured at 4858.9 square feet or enough space for 64 children. Children were observed to be under visual supervision during the visit. Classrooms have adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. All floors appeared to be clean and safe. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other hazardous items were latched/locked and inaccessible to children. Furniture, children's cubbies, toys and napping equipment (cots) appeared to be in good condition. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector in each of the buildings. Trash cans containing discarded food have tight-fitting covers. Snack menus are posted at least a week in advance. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and free of hazards. Outdoor equipment appeared to be in good condition with sufficient cushioning material. First aid kits are available in each room with required supplies. The Director's office is used to isolate ill children. Last disaster drill was conducted and documented on 9/16/2016. Drinking water is available both inside the classrooms and outdoor play area. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed. Opening and closing staff have current CPR/FA.
