25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mok conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with the licensee, Arvinzaya Nyamsuren (Zaya), and her mother (helper). LPA explained the purpose of the inspection to her. All adults had fingerprint clearance. There were 3 infants present upon LPA's arrival. The facility's name was " Zaya's Daycare". The facility's operation hours were Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The licensee rented the 3 stories single-family house. The house had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room on the top level; kitchen/dining area, family room, a bathroom, and the laundry room on mid-level; Garage and storage space on the ground level. The licensee lived on the mid-level with her mother. LPA toured the facility for health and safety hazards. LPA inspected aLnd included the 2nd bathroom that was adjacent to the front playroom to the daycare areas. The daycare areas were the entire top level and backyard. The off-limit areas were the entire mid and lower level. The facility was clean and in order. The temperature and lighting were adequate. The licensee installed the soft cushioning on the floor in the living room and front playroom to prevent injury. The fireplace was blocked or covered. The licensee installed gates at the front playroom entrance, entrance to the hallway, and stairway to the mid-level. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, books, learning materials, and children's furniture that were in good condition and repaired available indoors. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, and first aid supplies in the daycare. Playpens were used for napping. Boosters were available for feeding only. The children have to be removed from the chairs after completing the meals. The children's bathrooms were clean and in order. All the toxin items were made inaccessible to the children. The facility has provided Breakfast, AM/PM snacks, and lunch to the children. Per licensee, the children under 12 months old have brought their food to the daycare daily. The outdoor play yard was completely fenced. There were plenty of age-appropriate toys, and ride-on toys available for the children. The facility has conducted the emergency drill at least 2 times a year. Per licensee, there was a child on special medication. All the required postings were posted. LPA reviewed the children's and staff files during the inspection, LPA also obtained a copy of the current children's roster from the licensee during the inspection. The licensee and her helper had current Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training, they will expire on 6/16/2023 and 7/28/2023. The licensee and her helper had current CPR/First Aid training, they will expire on 6/19/2023 and 6/25/2023. The licensee also subscribed to a Day Care Insurance that will expire on 11/12/2022.
